Field Chickweed

NJ Ecotype (grown from seed)

  • Herbaceous perennial; 12-18” tall

  • Tuft forming clusters of small white flowers; blooms in the spring

  • Short height & non-invasive spreading tendencies make for great ground cover/green mulch

  • Early season source of pollen & nectar that attracts various bees including bumble bees, small carpenter bees, cuckoo bees, mason bees, sweat bees, and miner bees

  • Host plant to the Chickweed Geometer

  • Spreads via rhizomes, but easily divided/transplanted
