  • Deciduous shrub; 5-10ft tall

  • Upright clusters of fragrant white flowers bloom in summer; fall foliage turns a vibrant range of golden-yellow

  • Abundant pollen and nectar from sweet smelling blooms attract a large number of pollinators including native bees, solitary wasps, butterflies, moths and hummingbirds

  • Host plant to various Lepidoptera species including the Sweet Pepperbush Nola Moth

  • Spreads into mounded clumps; can easily be divided and transplanted in Spring
