NJ Ecotype (grown from seed)

  • Herbaceous perennial; 1-2’ tall

  • Yellow flowers comprised of ray & disc florets; blooms late spring through summer

  • Attracts various pollinators, but a favorite of sweat bees & other small native bees

  • Seeds are fed on by finches & other songbirds

  • Host plant to the Wavy-Lined Emerald

  • Thrives in sunny, dry conditions & is a great flower for container/city plantings

  • Spreads via seed somewhat aggressively
