Great Blue Lobelia

NJ Ecotype (grown from seed)

  • Herbaceous perennial; 1-4ft tall

  • Clusters of blue, violet tubular flowers; blooms late summer to fall

  • Attracts various pollinators including bumble bees, yellow faced bees, carpenter bees, sweat bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds

  • Attracts various predatory insects great for biological pest control including lady beetles, soldier beetles, plant bugs, and the insidious flower bug

  • Short lived, but reseeds readily via abundant seed output
