NJ Ecotype (grown from seed)

  • Herbaceous perennial; 1-3ft tall

  • Yellow umbel flowers; blooms spring to early summer

  • Attracts various pollinators including masked bees, cuckoo bees, mining bees & more; beneficial for biological pest control by attracting potter wasps, darwin wasps, digger wasps, and numerous beetles

  • Host plant for the caterpillars of the Black Swallowtail and the Rigid Sunflower Borer Moth

  • Moderately deer resistant

  • Short-lived, but reseeds readily
